As a Danish window manufacturer, we are very aware of our responsibility towards people, the environment, and society. For many years, climate considerations and environmental awareness have influenced both our products and our production processes.
We take responsibility and have a mission to limit the negative environmental impact across our production departments and for our company as a whole.
OUR CLIMA TARGETS
We have joined the UN Global Compact, committing to responsible business management and less climate-impacting development, and to reducing our carbon footprint in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Therefore, as part of DOVISTA, our targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Among many other focus areas, we place great emphasis on Scope 3 (reduction of emissions from our value chain), and therefore, our work on circularity is particularly significant. Circularity means designing, producing, and using products in a way that resources are reused and waste is minimized. The goal is to create a circular economy where materials are given new life instead of ending up as waste, for example, through recycling, repair, and reuse.

We work intensely to improve and take responsibility, and that is precisely why we are members of several networks where we collaborate with other companies and make a more targeted effort.
Climate Partner Hjørring
We are part of Climate Partner Hjørring, which is a partnership agreement between Hjørring Municipality and local businesses and associations. The partnership agreements are an important part of the climate action plan and help create a network where knowledge and experiences can be shared. Together, we aim to achieve the municipality's ambitious goal, which, with an 86% CO2 reduction by 2030, exceeds the Paris Agreement.

We hold a board position in the Network for Sustainable Business Development North Denmark (NBE), where companies working on the green transition can join and get inspiration on how to work with sustainability with economic, social, and environmental benefits.

EPDs
We have developed Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for our window profiles to highlight the impact our windows and doors have on the environment, and we are constantly working to ensure better results and a smaller footprint.

Climate Forest
Climate Forest - In collaboration with Scanenergi, we have contributed to the planting of 193,000 trees in a project that started in 2022 and is still ongoing. The goal is to plant four new protected forests, and with the 193,000 trees, the first two protected forests have been planted.
We can proudly say that our contribution to the tree planting in 2024 corresponds to our total CO2 emissions (electricity consumption) for the entire year of 2024.
In 2025, we expect to continue at the same scale, so we can plant new trees that compensate for our annual CO2 emissions.
The purpose of the forests is precisely that the trees should absorb, offset, and compensate for the CO2 emitted by Scanenergi's customers' businesses, while also strengthening Danish biodiversity and ensuring green areas for future generations.
